I woke up this morning with such a sense of peace that I wanted to share it with you all. You see, the past few weeks have been so busy and stressful that it has been all I could do to just get through day by day. This morning I woke up thinking about what Jesus might have felt in the last few weeks and days before the crucifixion. I can’t imagine the stress…the dread…the fear that must have been rolling around in his head when he prayed,
“Father, if it’s your will, take this cup of suffering away from me. However, not my will but your will must be done.” (Luke 22:42)
Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our own little world that we forget there are others who are so much worse off than we are…so much more stressed…so much more afraid.
Today however is a new day…a new beginning…a chance to start living today through Jesus Christ so that you will live forever according to his promise.
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live evern if he dies, and the one who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)
I would like to challenge you to add two new words to your regular vocabulary – JOY & GRATEFUL.
When you are feeling stressed, or worried, or sad, or deprived – look for even the smallest amount of joy in the situation or the tiniest thing you have to be grateful for, and focus on that while giving thanks to the person who was willing to suffer and die for YOU!!
Phil & I hope you take advantage of this new dawn and find joy & peace on this Easter Sunday and every day hereafter.
Hugs & Blessings,
